The sky was red-pink

Clouds drifting over the brink

I just returned from you

Sunset’s blaze

Defines us.

Whirling in a fantastic universe

Sky seemed to split in two

Cavern seized me could I get through

Nature’s process gracefully or die

Overcome by age?

Or can I dive right through to the center of the chasm

I let go

Spirit remains
